The night was still young, but the moon held it's place in the sky as well as the stars, which were appearing slowly, one by one. It was always a beautiful sight to be seen. At least in Ana's eyes. Her small figure sat on the edge of one of the many docks that lined the harbor, her bare feet dangling off. It was a very peaceful night. No one was around and she was left to her thoughts. There was only one thing on her mind at the time, and according to her mother, it shouldn't be there. But in reality, it was not a thing, but a person who went by the name of Quinn Deluca. She couldn't understand why this man had such a hold on not only her mind but her heart. He was only a lieutenant after all. She was raised to think that they were nothing but mere body guards. They were not on their level, therefore, they were not good enough for people of her class. At first, Ana thought like that. She was just like her mother, but less power-hungry. She denied herself any friendship between the man. The only thing that was similar to any other meeting she has had was her distant nature. After that, it was all about her upbringing. Honestly though, it didn't take long for her to find herself liking the company of the man and as it has already been mentioned, it turned into her having feelings for him. She hated the position she was in. It was a lot of stress she didn't need, but she refused to stop being around him just because of class.
Leaning back, she propped herself up on her hands and tilted her head back to look at the stars. A smile took place on her lips as she continued to think. She didn't regret meeting him, or falling for him. He made her happy, and that should be enough for her mother, and her father... once he actually found out. Ana sat herself up straight again and then pushed herself off the ground so that she was standing instead of sitting. Her gaze was now focused on the water instead of the stars as she began to think about the present. Like where she was now, and what she was doing. She wanted to do something more than just sit there, as getting lost in her thoughts were not helping her. They were actually bringing her mood down, and she didn't want that. So, why not go for a swim? There was no one to bother her and it was peaceful. She was alone and the water would most likely be relaxing.
Slipping her dress gently off of her small frame so that she was only in her underwear, she laid the dress on the dock and then backed up a bit. After taking a running start, she jumped off of the dock and into the water, allowing herself to go as far under as the water would take her. Fortunately for her, water couldn't kill her. She wasn't like some fragile human that would drown, so it didn't bother her. When she was finally able to resurface, a light laugh escaped her lips as her wet hair covered her face. It was weird. She was alone, yet she was having fun just by jumping into water. Maybe this was something she needed. Just time to herself to be free and as crazy as she wanted to be. She rarely did things like this in front of the people she knew. Sure, she had her moments with her best friend, but other than that, she was more reserved. Pushing her blond locks out of her face, she was just in time to spot a figure not too far away from herself on the docks.
