It had been a rough first few days for Heather in New York City. She was still in the process of getting use to things around town, the people here seemed to be a bit more City like than the people back in Louisiana and far more rude. Their accents alone seemed to make her skin crawl and the lack of Space on the side walk and streets was almost claustrophobic for the Oracle. She had been in a few messes in her lifetime but coming to this city was by far the worst of the worst. Coming here just might be the death of her yet, or at least that was what she was thinking. She found that the city was just as busy during the early night hours as it was during the day which is why around midnight she managed to find herself in the middle of central park.
It wasn't as bad during the night as most had her thinking it would be, muggers weren't running around and jumping out of the bushes. and this place was far from haunted she had yet to see a ghost of any kind. The only real danger that lurked in the park for her at least were the Vampires and they didn't even scare her as much as they probably should. She didnt see most of them as monsters, they were just regular people with a few higher attributes and a few more bad habits. If anything Heather viewed herself as more of a monster than what they were...There were more vampires than just a handful, they could talk to each other and find comfort with one another. When it came right down to it Heather was one of the few oracles in the city There could only be three within so many miles or awful things would happen. She hated that. She just wanted someone like her to talk to but she wouldn't be granted that satisfaction not anytime soon at least.
She laid on a bench staring up at the sky above her. She was contemplating life at this point, not as concerned about her so called Mission to find This woman named Selena as she was just days before. It had come to her attention that she was brought here for a greater reason by a greater power perhaps. Maybe she could get the two species to get along...maybe? Doubtful but it was worth a try, she had been thinking about it for a day or so...but she knew that the chances of it working would be close to none.
She was really just feeling home sick even if it had only been a few days. She loved where she lived and she knew she would probably never see it again. Her vision was going fast and it was getting harder and harder for her to make out images unless they were right in-front of her face. She hated the thoughts of going blind but it was her duty as an oracle to do something. She was blessed and cursed by being an oracle, she had seen many things both good and bad...there were only a few things left to see and one of those she dreaded.
she sighed and closed her eyes for a moment, " Only going to be in this world a little bit longer. Then it will be over.", she sounded almost happy with her words, she couldn't live in a world without her sight she would be miserable that was why she decided that when she completed her mission she would just disappear from this world. She began to hum a lullaby that her mother use to sing to her when she was little, it always seemed to soothe her a little.

Happy thoughts. That was what Cassie was trying to think - She had to carry on re-assuring herself whenever negativity crossed her mind a little. Happy thoughts, Cass, that's all you should think. The sweet angelic voice (of an angel) inside her mind sounded lovely and thoughtful, so she listened to the voice, and trudged towards Central Park reluctantly. Cassie was just a little servant now, a poor lowly girl with no say in any- everything. Cassie sat on a bench, and brought out a tissue, wiping her arm with it and a soft feeling of a cold tissue pressed against her arm spread round her body. Then her arm began to smell like cucumber.
Cassie glanced up, then realized she had company. Cassie rubbed her hands together to keep them warm, then walked towards the person. Speaking in her most sickly sweet voice, she raised it and then began to talk, "May I help you?"
