Sometimes Devon thought that women were more trouble than they were worth. He had a blood slave that he now had feelings for and a jealous wife that would probably do anything to make sure Devon wasn’t happy with the human. Not that Eden needed to help push the unhappiness along right now. Maybe unhappiness was the wrong word. Upset was a good term for how Devon was feeling lately. Upset and entirely confused because he shouldn’t be having feelings for a human, any human. Well, that took care of the confused part anyway, along with not really understanding the woman he had feelings for. Upset was because the two argued like warring countries on a battlefield. He knew he said things that Harmony didn’t like but he wasn’t going to lie to the woman. Devon was also determined that he was going to keep their status as blood slave and master even if they were involved in a relationship, meaning if he needed to take care of something he would do it. He wasn’t going to let a woman have him wrapped around her fingers.
And he was sure that when Harmony found out, if she didn’t already know, that he was going to a blood bar with Julian, she was going to be about as angry as a woman could get. Harmony was about as much a contradiction as he was. She wanted to be a vampire, but she knew how he fed and didn’t want him being with other people. She couldn’t have it both ways. Though Devon had to admit that he didn’t limit his feedings to just Harmony, he certainly tried. There were just some nights that he couldn’t take as much as he felt he required. And then there were the nights that Harmony just pissed the hell out of Devon and he just went out and did whatever he wanted.
Those nights didn’t happen often. It had been a while since Devon had been to a blood bar; he wondered what, if anything, had changed about them. Did they still allow human customers into them or had it gone more underground? He was sure there would be newer humans. If he remembered right, not all of them lasted very long, either because they died or ended up blood slaves or vampires themselves. Or maybe they would get there and there would be humans of all ages. Briefly, he wondered if it would matter to Harmony what sex or how old the person he was feeding from was. He didn’t think that she would approve of anyone, really, but he would like to know if there were things that made a difference. Not that he’d listen to those things, Devon would eat who he wanted when he wanted if he wanted to badly enough.
Devon was dressed in a pair of black jeans, a dark blue button up top and a black suit jacket thrown casually over the top. It didn’t sound much like it matched but Devon was fully aware that he could wear a paper bag and look decent so he wasn’t too concerned. As he understood it, the more casual, sloppy dress up attire was in now anyway. He waited at the door, casually leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, secretly hoping that Harmony wouldn’t walk by and get her panties all in a bunch at him going out.

Pulling his phone out from the back pocket of his torn dark blue jeans, Julian pulled the door to his room closed. Heading down the all too familiar hall that lead to the stairs, the young hybrid quickly checked his phone. He had been in the shower getting rid of any missed blood or dirt he might have collected from his day out getting rid of some rogue vampires for the council. It was one of the few things he did for the council. The young man might have a constant growing hate for his father but he knew that there were things needed to be done in order to keep their comfortable lives stay that way. Having heard nothing but the mention of the massacre since he was born, Julian knew how everyone felt about their existence behind know. Of course the lycan population knew, it was hard not to, however if they revealed anything about the vampires their own kind would still be hunted. It seemed there was an unspoken agreement on keeping both races under a certain amount of discursion.
Replying to the few texts he had, Julian took the stairs down to the foyer. His room was always located on the second floor of the mansion as it was far easier for him to be around sunlight then it was anyone else. Not to mention it seemed all the servants preferred to hide up on the higher floors where the curtains could easily be pulled apart in case someone was coming after them they didn’t want. Granted that only happened for the newly instated slaves and servants. After a while they didn’t seem to mind the way things were, at least they didn’t show it anymore. Making it to the bottom, he sent the last message before putting the phone back into his pocket. Shrugging his shoulders, he let the black button down shirt straighten itself out before tugging his jacket down after being hunched over from trying to write a text.
Getting to the foyer wasn’t that hard even when he wasn’t paying attention seeing as he had lived in the house most of his life knowing the route by heart now. When he finally made it to the doors, he noticed Devon already there. The Council master was one of the few that Julian actually got along with. That and given who it was he was preferred to spend his time with, Julian knew that man wouldn’t give him too much of a hard time. Granted he could simply be a hypocrite and say that their situations were far different. Getting to the door, he stopped for a moment nodded at Devon. “How long has it been since you’ve ventured into a blood bar?” he asked curiously turning the door knob before he stepped out into the cool night not really feeling anything. Being half vampire and lycan meant it took a lot for him to feel the chill of a night. Even in the winter he could wear just about nothing and not feel the cold.
Out in the drive way a car was already waiting for the two. Julian rubbed his hands together in a mischievous manner glad to be heading out for the night to get his mind off of things. Selena was out with Ana and Dustin seemed to be held hostage by this wife for the night since their last outing had ended with them in jail yet again. At this point, Julian hadn’t mentioned to Selena where he was going, simply wrote her saying he was out. He wasn’t too sure on her reaction to him heading to a blood bar given how interesting the situation could get. It was still odd for him after being a year with the woman to not be with anyone else. Often time’s he forgot himself when flirting but that was about it. Not thinking about the glaring and Spanish string of words that would be thrown his way when the young Hispanic woman found out where he was for the night, Julian focused on enjoying the distraction.

Another glance at the clock proved that the vampire had only been standing there a very short time. Funny how when you were anxious to get out time slowed down dramatically. In the immediate area everything around him was still. In the distance he could hear slaves and servants doing their work and other vampires quietly going about their business. Had he not been able to hear those things he might have thought time had actually decided to stand still and had by accident left him out. He scowled at the clock for a minute. Every second he stood there was another second that Harmony could walk by and get royally irked. Not that that would stop him from going out. He’d already made plans with Julian to go to this blood bar. Devon just didn’t want to deal with explaining himself to the human. And why should he? He was her master. He didn’t need to explain anything to her. But he also knew that he would explain it to her, even if it was an explanation she didn’t particularly like. He could just imagine saying Yeah, I was pissed and needed to go out. So I drank from a few humans and had a good ol’ time. She’d be angry with him for weeks if not months. And he supposed he could live with that, but he was willing to put that conversation off for as long as he could.
It really wasn’t long, though it felt like quite a wait, before Julian came into the foyer and they were ready to head out the door. Devon shrugged at the question and thought for a moment. “A few decades at least. Not since Harmony settled down a bit.” Before, when he was still trying to get a handle on his blood slave, Devon frequented blood bars with no guilt at all. Afterward he stopped going simply because he didn’t feel right about going when he was devoting a good portion of his time to his human. He still fed from other sources - a human he passed here or there at a party. He was always careful about who he picked of course.
The two got into the car and Devon found himself wondering what exactly he was getting himself into. There would be hell to pay for this. It didn’t take him too long, though, to decide to put away all that until he needed to deal with it. Besides, he was a fricking vampire. It was perfectly normal for him to go to a blood bar. Expected even. It might make him look better toward the council if he didn’t focus all of his time on Harmony. He supposed he could even tell her that if she asked about it, but he knew he wouldn’t. He’d tell her the truth - that he just wanted to get out and that he had been upset with her. But for now, he wouldn’t think about it. He would be as unfocused on Harmony as possible and hope that she would avoid Tristan, though he highly doubted she would. The human would do what she wanted if she found a way, not that she wanted to be around Tristan, just that Devon didn’t see her staying in her room for the duration of his absence even though he’d told her to keep to herself.
Devon was mostly silent on the way there, not having much to say, until they pulled up to the building. He could already smell the humans inside and all thoughts of disappointing Harmony left his mind. There was a high chance that before this night was over, Julian and himself would cause a bit of a stir, either with the place in general or just a few donors. He gestured for Julian to go ahead of him. “Time to have a little fun.” A slightly evil minded smirk crossed his face as they entered the bar.

Julian had never really been in a rush to do anything. He figured since he was going to be around for a lot longer than most of the humans around him, he didn’t need to rush for anything. He could take his time to do things, and still have enough time to see the world over and over, which he had seen already. Never had he really rushed himself even if it was a kill for the council. Of course there were times he simply wanted to get the job done and did so quickly. Other than that he took his time to just enjoy the slightly boring at times yet changing world. It was one of the reasons he wasn’t in much of a hurry to get downstairs where Devon was supposed to meet him. Despite them being on civil terms and him actually being able to be in the same room with the man as opposed to the other council Masters, Julian was quite surprised that he had agreed to a night out. He had know the man a long time and in all that time never had he seen him out and about, without his wife at least. Granted Julian wasn’t always around or paying much attention to anyone around him. The world could be ending around him and if there was an attractive woman with him, Julian’s attention would be on her and nothing else.
Seeing as everyone knew about the relationship between Devon and his blood slave it wasn’t a surprise when he heard Devon mentioning it had been a few decades since Harmony settled down. Of course having a blood slave often meant not having to really head out to hunt for a meal or anything else. That was what the blood slaves were for to provide vampires with everything they needed. Even if Julian had a blood slave of his own, he often took to going to the blood bar. It was far more entertaining and he could get his fix of other things as well that he didn’t find Kyle appropriate for. Often times feeding off someone lead to sex, at least when it came to Julian and his two animalist sides. “Shame really, a lot has changed. The women are friskier.” he added chuckling lightly as he slipped into the car. The ride to the red light district wasn’t long but it was quite silent. He didn’t have much to say at the moment simply glad to be out of the mansion for another night. With Angela keeping Dustin in their room, it was harder to find someone to cause some trouble with.
Julian wasn’t really thinking about how Selena would take him going to a blood bar. They hadn’t really encountered this situation before so he wasn’t too sure. After all they had only been together for a year and things were still quite new to them. However, given that he was only getting his fix of blood for the day there shouldn’t really a problem. That and his mate didn’t seem to mind when he flirted so what would a trip to a blood bar be any different. Once at the blood bar, Julian grinned at the smirk that appeared on the others face clearly having needed to get away for a bit. Walking inside, his instantly smelt the fresh blood, hearing their lively pulses. It made his eyes flash red instantly, his animal sides coming to the surface now that they knew it was allowed. Oh he was defiantly going to enjoy this. Not having been at the place in over a good year, Julian was surprised to see that nothing really changed, except maybe some of the new staff. Stopping by the woman near the door, the young hybrid turned towards Devon for a moment. “Bit of a show first or main course?” he asked glancing at the barely dressed woman who was supposed to greet people at the door. Grinning at the woman, he rubbed his hands together peering behind her for a moment. “Now tell me…” he paused for a moment waiting for the woman to tell her name. “Jade..” she replied and Julian just quirked an eyebrow laughing. “Tell me Jade, who’s on tonight and will it be worth my time?”

The women were friskier… Well, that should be entertaining. Though he wondered if that would take all the fun out of it - make it too easy. Then again, even a bad feeding was a good feeding and right about now Devon was looking forward to any blood. Besides, there was always a bit of fun in choosing one’s meal for the night. And if the women were a bit on the easy side, he wouldn’t have to force anyone to do anything. Feeding was always accompanied by either sex or violence for Devon. That was just the way it had always been for him. Sex was, of course, his preferred method of getting blood so a blood bar was an almost perfect setting.
He glanced around at the women in skimpy outfits that were the entertainment for both human and vampire, though vampire entertainment held a bit more excitement for the workers he imagined. It was funny how the humans who knew that vampires existed were eager to bed one and offer their blood to them. He supposed it was a rush for some of them, having their blood taken, their life resting in someone else’s hands. Or maybe they just enjoyed a guy who could last longer than the average human. Perhaps it was a bit of both. Devon’s eyes scanned the women, looking them over as he debated which he’d like to taste first. His eyes focused on a brunette with curves in all the right places whose eyes locked on him as she danced for some pathetic human. Maybe she’d be a good first go. She looked juicy enough.
With a smirk he turned to see what Julian was doing, enquiring about the menu from a woman he thought he picked up as Jane or Jade or maybe Jean. Devon admittedly hadn’t been paying much attention. He could care less who was on the menu for tonight as long as he was away from that God-forsaken mansion and the ever nagging blood slave. In all fairness she didn’t nag all the time but he was sick of feeling guilty for doing what he’d done all his life. Either way, he was going to have fun tonight - he would make it worth his time if he had to. Besides, what was time anyway? Sure, it had felt like forever waiting for Julian because Devon hadn’t wanted to run into Harmony, though the girl should have been up in their room anyway. But now there was no real chance of someone he didn’t want to see right now walking in on him. There was no way Harmony was getting out of the mansion.
“You want a woman to tell you who’s good tonight, Julian?” Devon smirked and made his way into the room. “When we could just find seats and pick them out for ourselves?” Not that Devon needed anymore time to pick out his first meal. The curvy brunette was still staring at him, which did nothing but increase Devon’s vain ego.

Letting his mind drift away from everything back home at the mansion, Julian opted for getting a drink in his hand quickly and letting his night start. There was a full moon coming up at the end of the week and he knew what he was going to be in for. The whole process wasn’t that great and the fact that he didn’t even change fully to begin with didn’t help the matter either. Being only part lycan, Julian found himself changing into a werewolf which was literally half human half wolf. It was as if he was stuck halfway between transformations and simply couldn’t finish or go back. Overall it wasn’t something he was looking forward to. Being at the blood mbar was one of the few ways he got his mind off that miserable weekend he was going to have to face soon. At this point he wasn’t even thinking about what his mate might think of this simply because he wanted to enjoy himself. The mischievous glint in his eyes already told anyone who saw him that he was clearly enjoying his surroundings already. It helped that he was known by most of the staff and didn’t need to show any identification. They knew he was part of the more exclusive clientele.
Putting his arm around the hostess, he chuckled at Devon’s statement his eyes still scanning the stage as another dancer took her turn to show the crowd what she could offer. “She’s seen all the acts already, besides there isn’t much else aside from a good meal ticket that any of them are good for.” he added referring to what idiots most of the woman seemed to be. If they were willing to be strippers to begin with and then food for vampires willingly then really there weren’t many brain cells left in these women. It was one of the reasons the blood bar was so successful and a great cover for vampires to use as a feeding ground. Pushing the hair off Jade’s shoulder, he leaned in taking a good whip of the woman for a moment before contemplating if she would be worth using as a meal for today. Making a face, Julian let the woman go before walking past her. “You’re right let’s see what they have in store for us today shall we?” he offered turning towards Devon for a moment as he walked backwards towards one of the more private booths he usually occupied. Noticing where the others eyes were, Julian grinned. ”Seems someone’s already caught your interest.” he pointed out shrugging his coat off as he went.
Turning around, he threw the jacket into the empty booth, hooking his arm around the naked waist of one of the girls on the floor, pulling her against him in one smooth motion. “How about a sample darling…” he whispered tracing his finger down her cheek and along her jaw line as he watched the woman. Keeping her body pressed against his, he waited for an answer letting his finger move down her neck, his eyes flashing red as he watched one of the veins as it moved with her pulse. When the blonde giggled and nodded, Julian grinned taking her hand in his for a moment, his eyes not going off hers while his fingers wrapped around her slender wrist. Locking them in place, he grinned bringing her wrist up to his face as if to press a kiss there. Instead, his fangs appeared a split second before his bite into her wrist. Not wanting to cause a scene, he made sure she didn’t feel the pain for the moment as he took his sample. The warm red liquid filled his mouth, the beat of her heart speeding up rapidly at the actions. His vampire side was finally awakening as he let the blood flow down his throat, savouring the warm taste. After a moment of this, Julian pulled back, licking his lips of the remaining blood before sighing. “Darn, not my type sorry love.” stated slipping a tip into her bra before sliding into the booth. Settling, he looked over to his friend for a moment while leaning back in his seat, his eyes traveling towards the stage again. “So are you going to taste the brunette over there? If not I wouldn’t pass her up.” he added.

Devon didn’t have much against strippers. What he had a problem with were humans, though he’d mingle with them for a little sex and/or blood. Usually the blood came with the sex, which was how Devon liked it. Though in all fairness, even bad dancers sometimes had delicious blood. Devon would be paying more attention to the outfits anyway. If Devon was guilty of liking anything about a human, it was the skimpy clothing women wore in places like these. He didn’t care what other people said, the more skin showing the better. Devon smirked and breathed a laugh at Julian. “Like you’ll be doing much watching anyway.” He gave a chuckle as Julian decided not to drink from the woman at the door. If anything could be said about vampire feedings, it was that choosing a human could be entertaining.
He slid into a seat that Julian had gone to, Devon had been looking around him at his options. He would be damned if he’d be having only one woman tonight. He may have his first course planned out, but there were plenty of blood donors. “Perhaps someone has.” He gave a nod to the curvy woman he had been eyeing. “She certainly looks appetizing.” He smirked at the thought, already anxious for that red liquid to be running down his throat. He barely noticed the woman Julian was sampling from, he was still looking around. A few other women looked in his direction and he noted them down as potential humans for later.
“I think I will call her over.” He smirked and made a subtle gesture for the woman to come over, which was all she needed to start her walk over to him, swaying her hips as she went. She was the complete opposite of his blood slave, which he admitted was intriguing as far as a potential feed went. Her skin was a nice tanned color, probably from lying out in the sun, and dark wavy hair. In her belly button was a small shiny gold-colored ring. At least she knew who she catered to; a silver ring would have gotten her nowhere in this place. She was already barely dressed wearing a dark red bra and a matching tight mini skirt.
The vampire pulled the human into his lap by her waist, one of his hands resting on her stomach and the other on her neck, feeling her pulse. He felt the familiar pace of the adrenaline going through her veins, though she looked entirely calm. His guess was that she enjoyed the nights she worked, maybe even looked forward to the fangs that would be pressed into her body. The fact that she leaned into him only strengthened that guess. Devon pressed his lips to her neck and inhaled her scent at the same time. “Mmm. Smells delicious. Do you taste delicious?” He smirked at the woman. “I haven’t had any complaint’s yet. You could try and find out.” Devon chuckled again. “Oh, I planned on it.” He pressed his fangs into the nape of her neck, pulling the woman’s body closer to him, drinking for a moment before pulling his mouth away, letting a slow stream of thick blood slowly slide down her neck. “No complaints.” He pressed a tip into the front of the woman’s tight skirt to be held by her panties strap and slid her off his lap and into a seat. “I think we need more over here.” He looked at Julian and then around the room. “Who else looks like fun…”

Leaning back in his seat, Julian started cracking his knuckles as he watched the current new show starting on the stage area. Cracking his knuckles was something he did often without even realizing what it was he did. It was just a habit had he picked up, whether it was somewhere he saw someone else do and started doing for himself, or simply a habit he just started doing himself. Whatever the reason for having this kind of habit, Julian wasn’t aware of it until Selena came into the picture. She had been completely annoyed with his habit the young woman ended up grabbing his hands the moment he started doing it. It seemed that before the no one else really had much of a problem. Hell no one seemed to have a problem with anything he did. Since the young Hispanic woman came into his life, however, his flaws have been pointed out in detail to him. Whether it was complaints about him cracking his knuckles or the mess on his floor that he called a laundry bin. Regardless of the nagging, Julian knew one that, that Selena wasn’t worried about getting him upset by complaining about some of his habits. It was one of the things he liked about her because this way he knew she wasn’t there for his money or for the fact that he was able to turn people immortal.
Flexing his fingers, Julian grinned as he continued watching the show, as the dancer changed. He didn’t have much of a preference at the place. Over the years he had been coming to the blood bar and knew most of the girls that works there. There were nights that new girls were featured and Julian often enjoyed the show, only to have a taste of the new women just to see if they would be put on his list of woman for his next visit. Devon’s comment on him watching the show only got him to chuckle again. “There is always something to look at.” he replied watching the woman Devon was interested in coming their way. There were some that worked hear that would hope to run into a vampire for the sheer thrill of being drunk from. It was quite sad if one thought about it, but it made finding a meal that much easier. It was one of the reasons the owner of the place was a vampire and with other vampires investing, it just made the whole place that much better.
Letting Devon have his way with the woman he called over, Julian focused his attention on the new act up on stage. It had been a year since he had been at the place but some of his favourites were still there. It also seemed like there were new ones as well. The woman currently dancing around the pole up on stage was quite appealing to the young hybrid. He was reminded of how his life had changed since the last time he was here. Going over to Ilsa the young man hadn’t thought he would come back with his wolf being more dominant, let alone a mate. With how his life was and the lack of actually love or anything in it, he hadn’t expected to find anyone that would actually feel anything for him. Sex was different, it was done for seer need and entertainment and that was one of the reasons he often came to the blood bar before. That and to feed.
His attention was drawn over to his friend in the booth when he finally spoke, seeing to be taking a break from feeding. “I’m sure we can get us some more… care to sample here or take a tour to the back..” he asked grinning before winking at the woman still sitting in their booth. Getting up, he headed towards the back room behind the stage. While he did, Julian’s eyes drew to a familiar stripper he had enjoyed himself with many times before. “Tammy darling, did you miss me?” he asked a mischievous grin on his face as he kept his arm around the young exotic woman while heading to the back with her. ”Well speak of the devil sug, where you been at?” the young stripper asked while taking him into the back where the rest of the woman were changing for their next show or rounds working the floor. Leaning against the door to the changing rooms, Julian grinned at the women there enjoying the view. “Been traveling, back for now.” he explained keeping his hold around the woman’s waist while his eyes traveled over the others there. “Ladies, who’s up for a bit of fun tonight?” he asked wondering how many he could get to go back with him. It would give him and Devon and interesting array to sample.
