For centuries Vampires lived among New York’s vibrant night life, as well as across the world, without any problems. None of the New Yorker’s knew the difference; most of the citizens out in the evenings were never seen while the sun was high in the sky. It wasn’t until the headlines began announcing the massive numbers of missing children, teens and young adults that the townspeople became cautious while spending their nights clubbing and seeing theatrical shows. Over the years more and more humans began to notice the disappearances and slowly became unnerved before they started to really panic by the end of the twentieth century. It turns out that anyone who had gone missing over the last several years either became a blood slave, a servant or was simply drained dry by the Vampire Coven.
When the millennium came about so did a mass panic of the people of New York as well as all of America. Human families came together to cook up a plan to rid their city of all the vampires. Reports revealing that the mass population of vampires, living in New York, were the reason so many people went missing. They wanted their nights safe again. Seeking out the help of a skilled Oracle, the humans were able to gain important information on how to best rid themselves of this problem. The Oracle provided them with not only ways of killing vampires, but uses all her powers to discover the location of the coven. This in turn left the Oracle blind at a young age, however, the Oracles sacrifice wasn’t in vain. The vampires were not prepared for such a massive attack in their home.
The coven fell and the vampire population was almost exterminated that day. The council fell that day taking along with it some of the oldest and strongest vampires and their families with them. Fortunate, a handful of the old families survived. The remaining vampires from the five council families took the remaining vampires and left for a secluded area. There they healed, recovered and slowly began to repopulate their race. During this time the humans simply assumed all the vampires had been exterminated from their city. Peace fell over the city and soon the word vampire simply became a myth or legend.
While staying in hiding and repopulating, the new Master of the Vampires took it upon himself to create a weapon for the vampires, one that would not only give them an advantage against the humans but against the lycan’s as well. He sought out a lycan woman and seduced her into his bed. This resulted in the first hybrid. The massive weapon would give the Vampires an advantage if their enemies ever chose to darken their doorsteps again.
The Master, along with the four Council Masters took to regaining their city again. They started out small, gaining trust from local business men and woman. Small amounts of blood donations started coming in as did more interested clients as well. Over time, the coven began to secretly establish themselves within the busy and profitable business world. Soon, many businesses and even events were used as covers for vampires to obtain blood and whatever else they needed to survive. Small donations of blood became large blood banks and eventually moved on to live donors. Hunting was still a sought out sport for the vampires, however it wasn’t needed as it had once been. Instead, humans started to willingly come to them donating their blood. Others were persuaded.
Now it’s 2151, just about 150 years after the massacre and all of New York is once again in the hands of vampires. However, this time no one is quite aware of how deep they have the city in their pockets.
Blood, violence, vengeance, lust and power all thrown into one! Do you have what it takes to survive in a world where nothing is what it seems?
Where do you stand at Night Walker Empire? Find out!
