Desdaemona always knew there was some odd connection between her and the moon garden. She had tried reading up on it, only no library books put it in enough detail Des needed to fill her needs. So she was just taking a stroll - and, funnily enough, she was easily led towards the Moon Garden. Des knelt down beside a tall bush, with brambles everywhere. Des scratched her hand gently across the bush, leaving faint scars on her hand. She was wearing a light dress with black at the hem, and her black long hair was neatly combed, as it rarely was, and tied into a high ponytail.
Des heard footsteps. She was paranoid, and turned around. Hidden in the brambles, she had the perfect position to find the sneak who was being so freaky. Des widened her eyes when she noticed the scent of human blood. Fledglings felt these urges all the time. Des moved the brambles away from her, to see who was there. Silence. The person had stopped. Des wondered who it was. Creeping from the shadows, and stepping out onto the wet grass from last night's rain, Des noticed the human standing before her. Cassandra Black.

The young servant groaned as her alarm went off at eight o'clock at night. She trudged towards her wardrobe, opening it and picking out her everyday clothes. Day. She missed the sunlight, she missed waking up the time normal humans woke up, she missed being able to feel comfy in the warm open sun. But now she was trapped in her quarters, her alarm waking her up just before nightfall. The elegantly dressed servant stepped down the stairs, being led towards the most beautiful of places - the moon garden, where Cassie was enhanced in its beauty. She heard rustling in the bushes. Who was it?
Then that person stepped out. Cassie stopped dead, her arms spaced out, her legs shoulder width, and she stepped back nervously, not feeling like tonight was the night to pick a fight with a high-classed vampire. Vampire? Desdaemona was nowhere near a vampire. She was a newly bitten fledgling, and Cassie always referred to her as that. It was just the eerie way she acted, and the way Des longed to drink from humans all day long. Cassie was most definitely her victim.
Well, she couldn't avoid Des now, could she? She placed her hands towards her front, one over another, smartly dressed not in her casual clothes, which she had decided were too 'common' and wanted to be different. "Mistress Desdaemona," she growled, her teeth clenched. It was a terrible habit, but you do these things after doing it once, and you can never stop. Suddenly she knew why Desdaemona judged her. Because she was a higher rank, Des was allowed to taunt the lower ranked, like Cassie. But Cassie shooed the thought away and furrowed her brows at the fledgling.

Des focused on the servant in front of her. Stepping forwards, she frowned at her. "You shouldn't come near me. I thought you were scare of me," she said mockingly, resisting the temptation to laugh at her. She was focused on the sound of Cassie's blood pumping round her human body, which Des could sense quite well. Des flipped her hair. "Then again, you might be asking to be bitten. You know how fledglings feel about blood, Cassandra, and you should stay away from them." Des couldn't believe she was being kind.
Des folded her arms, and added, "If you're keen on starting up a fight, stay where you are. If you're a coward who doesn't like fledglings 'cos they're scawy-" she spoke 'scary' with a lisp, mockingly- "I'd advise you should go away and leave me in peace." She looked away from the servant's gaze. "It's your choice." She was now giving Cassandra a chance to speak.

"Scared?" Cassie questioned. She wasn't scared of Des, not since she had read her diary. Yes, she had snuck in there to see if there was a reason why Des was so stupid and mean and - yeah - scary. "I'm not scared of a fledgling who was bitten by someone younger than her," Cassie hissed. Wait, that didn't make sense. Oh well. Vampire bit Des, Des became a fledgling, moved to coven and blah-de-blah.
Cassie sighed. "I'm not cowardly enough to run crying back to my room blubbing like a baby, but I'm not brave enough to pick a fight with a fledgling who feels temptations to drink a human's blood." She tossed a few strands of hair in front of her eye backwards, then glared again at the fledgling, waiting to see what other options she had.

"I wasn't bitten by someone younger than me, you idiot." She didn't curse - she wasn't in that mood. However she knew words she could use. "The only way anyone would know who I was bitten by was by reading my diary. I ripped the most private sections of my diary out, and stored them somewhere secret, incase you go snooping, which you really shouldn't or else you'll find yourself in mortal danger of being bitten deep into by none other than me. And I can make it hurt badly, trust me on that. Why did you bring that up anyway?"
Realization shot to her, and she stepped back, amazed. Cassandra had been around in her room! "You-" No words could explain how Des felt right now. She fell to the ground, knocking her head on the grass. She felt dizzy, and picked herself up. She had lost balance from amazement. "Crap!" she hissed loudly, then grabbed Cassandra, baring her fangs, then bit deep down, not being able to resist it. Knocking her unconscious, the girl fell to the ground, but Des picked up the taste of blood. It had been ages since she had enjoyed fresh blood, and she was going to make the most of it.

(To anyone stalking my thread with myself: Cassie's posts are going to be quite short since she is unconscious. So do excuse me.)
Being knocked to the ground, Cassie gasped, but the gasp was brief as Des already had her fangs on Cassie's skin. Her eyes closed, Cassie decided to get this over with. She suddenly drifted into something which felt like pain, then saw her childhood. She noticed her being first fed by her mother, and she cried out for her, then noticed her being hypnotized by some masked men in a carriage, being taken somewhere else, being sold-
Was her life flashing before her?
That only happens when you die.
Was she dying?
It wasn't possible.
All she knew was that she wanted her family.
Her mum.

The servant had only wailed one word - 'Mama'. Des ignored it, and carried on drinking. The blood tasted amazing in her mouth, on her tongue, running down her throat. She felt redness growing in her mouth, and the fledgling was fulfilling her hunger need. She grabbed her closer, to get more. She just wanted more. She knew Cassie was feeling pain - exactly what Des had felt when she was first bitten at 16. But Des didn't care, all she wanted was the blood, human blood to taste every day...
More. She wanted more of it. But she knew if she didn't stop now, Cassie would nearly be close to becoming one of Des's kind. And Des knew servants were only humans. So Des pulled back from the blood, then decided to let the human lie on the grass, most likely deep in her memories. Des crawled back, to sit and wait to see if the human would come back. Swallowing her last bit of blood in her mouth, Des licked the blood from her lips, getting every last bit. Then she gulped, and the guilt got to her. What if Cassie died? Des couldn't stress that. She hated the girl's guts, up until tasting her blood. Des would go to the kitchen tomorrow, to get some blood - she just wouldn't risk killing a human.

Cassie slipped into her sleep. Resting peacefully against the wet grass, her heart pounded, trying to replace the blood she had lost. She was light-headed from blood loss, so sleep was the only way to heal it. She fell into a calm, quiet sleep, feeling the pain from losing her mum, and knowing she needed to find her, whatever it took, even if she had to be bitten again by Des. ~Hours Later~ Cassie woke up with a huge head-ache. She felt like crap. She let her head flop on the- grass? Oh, she was in the moon garden. Silly place to sleep. She sat up, groaning. She turned her head- then noticed Des sitting there! "Desdaemona?" she asked, her eyes wide as she turned to face the fledgling. "Why are you here?"

When Cassie woke up, Des smiled. At least she hadn't killed the human. "Cassie," she said, for the first time ever saying Cassie's nickname. "Follow me, somewhere we can talk more privately. Erm, let me think- the dungeons. We can talk there. Come on!" Des grabbed Cassie's hand, pulling her towards the inside, dragging her towards the dungeons.
(Very short. Continued in Dungeons.)
