(Continued from thread in the Moon Garden.)
Des's hand still clasped with Cassie's to lead her here, Des hurried down the stairs leading to the dark dungeons. She turned to face the human, then sighed.
"So, this is how it goes - you made signs that you had read my diary, I bit you, you fell unconscious then you woke up, and it leads us to here." She said the 'I bit you' part very fast, she didn't want to anger the human, or make her scared like she was last time.

Following Des, Cassie was led down to the dungeon. She listened to the fledgling's explanation. "Huh? You bit me? What? Why- I never meant to read your diary! Why are you even being nice to me? You never are!" The servant had many questions to ask, but softened as she fell to the floor with a bang. The cold floor stunned Cassie a bit, but it warmed up the longer she sat, gazing up at Des.
"Des, why did you save me?" she hissed. She never thought Des saved her from death. She was close to death just then. Cassie wrapped her arms around herself. She should have put more on before leaving to the moon garden.

"I'm being nice to you because I realized something when I bit you. I actually feel sorry for you. Don't think we're friends, I wouldn't be seen dead in public with you, but I saved your life by not drinking any further, so sue me or respect me, your choice." She put a hand on her hip, her pale hand which showed clear signs of her vampirism. "I saved you because... Well..."
How was she meant to say it? She knew Cassie, and everything about her. Bending her head down, she sighed. "The thing in my diary says everything, in case you decide to look in it again - only one more entry since those other entries." She shrugged, there was no harm in Cassie seeing the safe entry if she'd seen every other one. Wait, it wasn't safe. It was a fact about herself Cassie was the opposite of.
"Later, Cassie, come to the kitchen with me. You might have become a little hungry since waking up from your unconsciousness. We need to talk now. And honestly, I promise I will never do that to you again." She twirled a lock of her hair as she gazed at Cassie gazing up at her. Their eyes met, and Des sharply looked away. "You might want to get up," she said lamely. But really. Cassie's eyes were so creepy. Des was freaked out. An excuse was better.

"Hungry?" It took a few seconds for Cassie to pick up on what hunger was, but then gasped. "Oh, yes, food sounds great. Would you prefer going to town instead of cramped up in the coven? Tomorrow night sounds good for me." She wanted to go to bed now, the sun was nearly up. So she was going to point that out to Des.
"Des, the sun is almost up. I'm going back to bed, if you don't mind. I think you should go to yours as well." She turned her back, "We'll find a restaurant when we're in New York." To this, Des agreed, then Cassie walked off.
