I want your love and I want your revengeYOU AND ME COULD WRITE A BAD ROMANCE Desdaemona was lounging around in bed by the time her alarm had gone off. The vampire woke up, twisting her head to check the time. Seeing the digital clock reading '8:00pm', Desdaemona ran towards her closet, opening the large wooden doors and picking out some elegant clothes she thought suited her. Putting them on fast, she chucked her PJ's on the fluffy mat, and pulled up her casual jeans and straightened her casual top. No, it wasn't elegant, but it would do for today.
Des tried to avoid the large crowds of vampires and slaves and servants, but it was hard. She hurried past them, elbowing them out of the way. Except for the humans; since biting Cassie she had felt a bit of sympathy for them. Poor them, being out of place in the large coven with people who could anytime bite using their sharp teeth, right into their skin, their neck, everywhere. Des ran towards the pool, where she seated herself.
"Such a beautiful night..." Des whispered, glancing up at the moon, its crescent shining in the sky. The white silvery moon was beautiful that night - even if it wasn't full, Des enjoyed sitting by the poolside and watching the beautiful item up there in space. Des was fascinated in the solar system, and her earth around her - it was hard to believe she was sitting on the poolside in a round place which spins and orbits that damn Sun as it floats around in space with more empty planets.
Hearing footsteps, Des looked up. She noticed a shadow in the light inside the coven, the lit up mansion which was home to so many of her kind. Hopefully it was a fellow vampire - Des couldn't stress biting humans anymore, even if it was good. Anyhow, she liked going to the kitchens to get fed up, so. She called out into the darkness of the night - "Who's there?"

Not often did he venture into this wing of the coven, not often did Tristan leave his own rooms. He was struck in his own routine, from his bedroom to his office, his office to the boardroom then back to his bedroom just before the sun rose. This was how most days for the master vampire went, occasionally Anna would intervene changing his mood and schedule. Anna his human servant, that child had such hold over him.
Tonight, he was in need of a change of the unusual dealings of his immortal life. His schedule was starting to bore him and that was something that would not do. Moving through the hallways, if you blink you would miss him but only if it were one of the servants. A vampire would see him move, it would normal, nothing out of the ordinary. Boredom was…well boring, there was no other way to put it, it was a waste of time. Time was all he had these days. His coven, his vast coven seemed empty this particular evening. No human crossed his path, were they hiding from their master? Or maybe they were using their brains for once in their short, stupid lives. His kin on the other hand, were likely feasting or living out of the rest of their immortal lives whatever they chose. He cared not.
Leaving his office earlier than usual, he had wandered not caring where his feet took him. Tristan wanted to shake his dulling life up a notch. The sound of water reached his ears, ah the pool, soon the sound of chlorine followed. He had forgotten that within the many corridors lay a swimming pool, Victoria had finalised the details of layout of their coven along with the other council members. She wanted an area where both humans and vampires could relax, he had suggested a large library but she had wanted an Olympic sized swimming pool. Victoria had won in the end but Tristan had still gotten that wondrous library several floors up.
Placing his hands upon the door, he gently pushed them inwards and open revealing the glistening blue water of the pool within. Each room held a memory but this one was the exception, Victoria and he had never been in this room at the same time. He would head to the roof and she would come here, every time they fought that is. A female voice called out, from within the room but he could hear no heartbeat. A vampire was the owner of the voice who called out to him, a stranger. He moved into the room, into the light revealing himself to the female vampire.
“I am terribly sorry if I unnerved you, I am Tristan Holt Master Vampire of this very coven” He said, politely introducing himself to her. “Who might you be?” He inquired, curious at who this mysterious visitor was.

I want your love and I want your revengeYOU AND ME COULD WRITE A BAD ROMANCE Somebody was venturing towards her spot. Des, calm as she was, jumped when she noticed. It was Tristan Holt, the master vampire Des already heard of. She didn't know everyone, but the master of the house was not easily forgotten. Des, her legs knee-length in the water, sitting on the edge, craned her neck to see the master of the house in better detail. Never before had she encountered him. Anyway, she was just a fledgling, not much in higher classed vampire's eyes.
“I am terribly sorry if I unnerved you, I am Tristan Holt Master Vampire of this very coven, Who might you be?”
"Desdaemona Richardson. I'm a fledgling, so I've just been bitten." Des hunched over her knees. She had been bitten a few weeks ago, when that man stopped her on the street in a deserted alley and had bit down deep, then turned her into one. Des was already familiar with vampires, from her grandma, who had told her to stay away from those with very light pale skin and surprisingly sharp teeth. After her grandma died, her will gave Des a handwritten book by her grandma about vampires.
Des had laughed at it. She honestly had never thought vampires existed, and guessed in old age her grandma had changed from her younger self to her crazy old self. Never before had Des actually thought vampires existed. Okay, maybe the thought had crossed her mind with control a few times, but she had forced them away even with the force those thoughts had coming to her. Yes, more than twice it had happened, she had actually believed for five seconds at the least. She always felt power to calm her racing mind within those seconds.
"Well, I'm not really a newly bitten fledgling. I was bit quite a few weeks ago." Des looked up from her legs, to face the person. Oh, not person. To face Tristan. She guessed he was confused why Des had curled up for one second at the least, but it wasn't a good long minute. That would creep everyone out. Des didn't mention she had bitten already. The master of the Coven was the last one she wanted to know she had only just stopped herself from causing havoc in the whole house. Des was glad to be sheltered here - she had a good room, good everything. Her window had a really good view.

Now this was interesting. His eyes were fixed upon her face, occasionally they would venture lower, taking in the features of her body. She was definitely note worthy, attractive in one way but she was still young. Young vampires were not his type, he was not planning to seduce this fledging into his bed as handling her almost hair-trigger blood lust in the heat of the moment. Fledging were often chaotic and hard to control. This woman seemed to calm and collected, this often came with age. It brought a slight smile to his stone hard mask.
“Greeting Miss Richardson” He replied politely, bowing his head in greeting. The traditions of old had not let him, he still acted much like he had back in eighteenth century. Strange, her name did not ring a bell, he knew a majority of the vampires within his coven. This one had escaped his gaze but no longer. Tristan would find all he needed to know on this particular wee vampire. The circumstances surrounding her turning were hardly unusual, as often sires would abandon their accidentally children to fend from themselves in this harsh supernatural world. It still was not proper protocol when it came to the sired children of any vampire within his coven. One did not abandon their child, no they taught them how to survive then release them into the world, to spread their wings and fly the night sky.
“Curious..” He started, half listening to her words as he thought on the identity of her mysterious sire. It could be anyone in his city or maybe it could have been a vampire passing through, only to stop for a bite to eat. “How are you finding the night life, Miss Richardson?” He asked, take another few steps closer to the pool.
“Still compared to me, you are but a child” He added, trying to lighten the mood with a little age old humour.

She smiled when he said greetings towards her. “And greetings to you… should I just call you Tristan?” She was nervous about offending the house master, so decided she'd ask outright what she was supposed to call him. Des remembered, she hadn't brought cigarettes with her. Des had began smoking a few months before the bite, and had loved it to remove stress. She had often sneaked to her room to enjoy one before she went out again. That way nobody made remarks on the smoke.
Maybe it wouldn't be a good idea to light a cigarette in front of the house master. Yes, that would be rather disturbing. When he said a mere 'Curious' Des was confused. “What’s curious?” But afterwards he asked another question, questioning on how she was finding the night life.
“I liked the night before I was bitten. My garden came alive at night, like the moon garden. I was enhanced in it…” She paused after, remembering the moon garden. It was where she had bitten the first human, taken her first load of fresh human blood, the desolate area where she had taken such her big moment in her vampire life...

Such a meeting like this one, was no rarity for the master vampire such has himself. Vampires can and went so often, the faces would blur into one another. This sudden and completely unexpected meeting, however felt different. This young fledging was here to stay, for now at least. Unless circumstances changed for the worse, that seemed highly likely at present. This fledging was most unusual, not acting like a true vampire should but still thinking, reacting like a human would. However this was to be excepted when the sire up and vanishes. She needed a mentor, this was something Tristan was certain of. It needed to dealt with as soon as possible. There were many perfect candidates but who would have the patience with such a young vampire such as her? A single dark eyebrow rose at the very thought of her most strange request, most would not dare to address him by his given name, well technically it was not his originally name but the most recent of many. “I would prefer in the presence of other for you to refer to me as my lord or master holt” He brushed off her request with cold but frank words. “However, in private I prefer to be more informal and only then you may address as Tristan” This was a compromise and a rare one to say the least. Tristan hardly let anything tilt towards anyone but himself, it was his way or no way. The faint scent of smoke and nicotine wrapped itself around her, much like a lover would, hinting towards a human habit that she had clearly carried through from her days in the sun as a mere mortal. Tristan wasn’t planning to give away the reason for his curiosity, that would be giving up the game he had intended to play with her. A game he played with many a member of his coven, it was one of the many way he got his nightly thrills outside the bedroom. “Many things are curious, my thoughts are escaping me” His words were carefully chosen, aiming to dodge the question. Her take on the night was human, the very thought of any kind of flora coming to life was fantastical but then again a witch could easily manipulate and bent any greenery to her will if she was powerful enough. “You still think too human but it is to be excepted.” He bluntly stated, a twisted smirk began to form upon his pale lips. "You need to be taught but it means to be one of us, to be a true vampire”

“I would prefer in the presence of other for you to refer to me as my lord or master holt”
“Alright. I’ll make sure to do that.” Des didn't often refer to people formally, but if you angered Lord Holt, Des didn't know what would happen. “I’ll just call you Lord Holt. Saves trouble.” She shrugged, then waited for him to speak.
“Many things are curious, my thoughts are escaping me” “You still think too human but it is to be excepted.”
“Until I’m a proper vampire, I’m just a fledgling. When I am a proper vampire, at last I won’t be so… human.” Des hated that word. It tasted sour on her lips. Despite the fact Des felt sorry for them, she couldn't help hating that word.

Formality was a necessary within the walls of his coven, to separate the council and their families from the underlings. Tristan was a man of strict tradition, it was how he had learnt in his vast lifetime, across the length and breadth of Europe. Some things struck more than others, Tristan had almost forgotten the life lessons his mother and father had taught him all those decades ago.
“I’m glad to hear that, not many vampires are willing to be respectable these days” He commented, inside the walls of the coven roamed many vampires fighting for station. Verbal battles happened daily, he himself were part of many, or the subject of a few. This woman was different, unique but sometimes that was an advantage but other it was not. Which one would this woman end up as? That was entirely up to her.
“Exactly” He answered bluntly, not showing an ounce of emotion. Many a vampire passed through his mind, each could teach this very human vampire a trick or two but most would easily grow frustrated with her human mannerisms. However there was one who could break her, knock her down a peg or two to see the light and what it meant to be a true vampire and member of this coven. The question was, would he take up this proposition, well order or would just walk away?
“My eldest son would be the ideal tutor but I will need to speak to him first” He informed her “I can promise nothing as he has the right to say no, as my heir and trusted member of this coven” Logan was his heir but the second half of his statement was a fabrication lie. He could not be trusted, the man was known for his cruel ways but it was highly unlikely that this young vampire would know this fact.
